Valerie Kernan
Vice President, Global Solutions
With over 13 years of broad experience in the financial
markets and residential and commercial mortgage industries,
both in business and in information technology, Valerie Kernan
brings a unique skill set to the management of Epitome Systems’
delivery and training activities. Previously, Valerie spent
three years in the Information Technology Department at GMAC
Commercial Mortgage (GMACCM), representing the construction
lending and affordable lending businesses in North America,
origination and servicing activities in Asia, and commercial
banking in Europe.
Prior to GMACCM, Valerie spent six years as a Senior Examiner
in the Institutional Audit Department at Freddie Mac, where
she was responsible for analyzing and managing fraud, underwriting
and servicing risk, and investor non-compliance of Freddie
Mac’s North Central sellers/services. Previously, as
an Officer in First Chicago’s Audit Department for four
years, Valerie analyzed the bank’s Capital Markets and
Trading activities in North America and Asia.
Valerie earned a B.A. in International Relations and Business
from Lake Forest College.
